Marilyn’s Journey

Marilyn’s Journey

A lifelong path of movement, healing, and guiding others home to themselves.

I’ve always believed that learning never stops—and that every step of life is an opportunity to grow, create, and serve.

My journey began in Hawaii, where I earned my degree from the University of Hawaii and discovered my passion for movement through Ballroom and Latin dancing. I went on to teach, choreograph, and prepare students for amateur competitions, directing dance showcases and weaving joy into every class. For over 15 years, I helped others connect to confidence, rhythm, and self-expression.

In my 20s, I was already thinking about how to age with strength, energy, and vitality. That curiosity led me to yoga, which soon became a lifelong companion. I studied different styles, got certified as a Yoga Instructor and Sport Yoga Teacher, and eventually completed both a 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

My move to California’s Central Coast brought new opportunities to serve the community. I began teaching Ballroom, Latin, Hula, Yoga, and Fitness classes to both adults and children. To reconnect with my cultural roots, I formed a Hula Dance group, choreographing and performing at luaus and local events.

For the past 20 years, I’ve also worked with children—teaching dance, creative movement, fitness, and study skills in schools and community programs. I earned my Yoga Educator credential from YOGA ED in 2016 to bring the benefits of yoga and mindfulness into public schools from K–12.

Over time, my work naturally expanded into the healing arts.

I became certified as a Health & Life Coach and an Art Medicine Practitioner, helping people navigate personal challenges around health, relationships, career, and life purpose. These tools, combined with yoga and movement, became the heart of my coaching practice.

Today, I continue to evolve—writing books, expanding my creative offerings, and currently stepping into the DreamBuilder coaching program to help people dream bigger and live with intention.
